Built from 1440 glass cubes is a wall corresponding exactly with the height of the room, which divides the space in an S-shape and is backlit with spotlights. The curved, asymmetrically constructed glass wall changes the spatial volume of the former shop, which with a central glass door and glass cases on both sides allows a continuous view inward from the front. The composition of the individual glass bodies—with varying thicknesses and irregular surfaces—generates a diffuse and spherical light. Due to the repetitive application, multiple parts, and the material, the installation initially seems to point to serial or industrial production; upon closer inspection, it connects several hand-processed elements to what seems like an almost organic, gleaming surface.
