For this year’s edition of Art Basel Paris, Loevenbruck brings together a selection of contemporary and historical works, revealing the dialogues the gallery creates between different generations of artists.

The contemporary focus will primarily comprise new and previously unseen works, drawn from the practices of Daniel Dewar & Grégory Gicquel, Philippe Mayaux, Chloé Royer, as well as Ashley Hans Scheirl and Jakob Lena Knebl, recipients of the Oskar Kokoschka Prize 2026, one of Austria’s most prestigious distinctions recognising an outstanding contribution to the fine arts.

Among the historical works, the gallery will present a masterpiece by Gilles Aillaud, alongside a major bronze work by Alina Szapocznikow, marking the centenary of her birth (1926–1973).

Continuing its research into singular historical practices, Loevenbruck invites visitors to rediscover John Cage, with a work from the River, Rocks and Smoke series (1990), reflecting Cage’s attentiveness to his environment and his interest in unpredictability. The presentation also includes a painting on unstretched canvas by Michel Parmentier, composed of repeated horizontal bands that reject any form of expressive gesture.

Finally, the booth features an emblematic work by Takis, representative of his experiments at the intersection of art and science, combining natural forms and physical phenomena to give tangible form to the invisible forces that surround us.
